I found her a while back and read something and then, recently, I stopped back in (thanks to the beauty of Google Reader) and read her blog post about the 6 Irresistable Reasons to Stop Explaining Yourself and I was hooked. What an amazing resource she is! The more I poked around, the more I liked (although, so far that IS my favorite post!) There is just so much there. The funny thing is, I didn’t even know that she was a musician! (Sorry, Christine – but she is good at that too!)

Here are just a few of her MANY posts that I found inspiring!

Just take a moment and let that title sink in.

I was reading Christine Kane’s blog post the other day, 6 Irresistable Reasons to Stop Explaining Yourself, and it reminded me of my experiences with Landmark Forum years ago. Christine’s is right on the money and this is a great post! Wow.

I find myself explaining myself quite frequently, so this post was a great reminder to me. For years after doing the Landmark training, I would stop before explaining myself because I had learned that this is disempowering. But time fills in the cracks and we get lazy. I got lazy.

I was especially struck when she said that “when you explain yourself, you miss the opportunity for disapproval”. That line really got me. Isn’t that the point? But wow. She goes on to say, “Can you stand in your body and love someone enough to let them not be happy with a choice you’re making? When you can do that, you really wake up!” Double wow.

Christine – KUDOS to you. This is some of the best stuff that I have read in a long time. (Stay tuned for her to be an upcoming Hump Day Hero!)
