For the last few weeks, I have been writing posts in response to a wish that Jamie Ridler posts for Wishcasting Wednesdays. This week, the wish is What Do You Wish to Begin?

I have many things that I wish to begin. The key is to choose one and stick to it! I wish to begin sorting through all of the crap in my house. Yesterday, I brought home some paper boxes from work (the sturdy ones that hold reams of paper). I brought home two of them with the intention that I would fill them up with junk I no longer want and bring them back to the Savers near my work and drop them off. If I just do this on a regular basis, my house will have less stuff and I will feel better.

So, my wish is to begin clearing my stuff!

Then I dug a little deeper to find out what was underneath that and here is what I found…

My daughter is nine and I was just thinking the other day that I really wanted to spend more time with her. Her childhood is like an ever-evading grasping feeling of wanting to capture it somehow before its gone. Realizing the folly in that is recognizing that each moment spent worrying about it being gone is one less moment that I am present with her in her life now. I first started doing the work of Cirkla, the wellness directory and all of that so that I could be home with my daughter and be there for her when she gets home from school. I work a day job too, so it is ending up that I am spending even less time with her because of it. Not totally, as I do try to focus on her when she is around so that we can get some quality time since she only lives with me half of the time – the other half with her dad.

She is now getting to that fragile age where she is starting to break away. Just a bit… slowly, but I knew the day would come and I don’t want to hinder her freedom and growth by fighting it. I realize that I need to let go a bit. She will always be there, but the more I fight it, the less she will be there. It is that way with everything.

Last week, I made an entry in Wishcasting Wednesdays, a virtual blog carnival of sorts done by Jamie Ridler each week to help bloggers everywhere to make their wishes come true. It was good for me and good for my blog to participate in this unique experiment. I have been busy lately working on a variety of projects, none of which seem to get very far because there are just too many of them.In the process, I had been neglecting my Cirkla blog.

I recently acquired a second wellness directory called US Wellness Directory (www.uswellnessdirectory.com). It was gifted to me by a sweet woman named Julie who had the blessing of having a healing arts practice that was doing so well that she needed to let the directory go. As it turned out, this new project has given me a fresh start. It made me rethink my whole business model and gave me some new energy into my business, which it sorely needed.

So here is my wish – I want to make a fresh start with my business. I would like for it to be attractive and profitable for everyone who gets involved with it, so that I can be free to create even more wonderful projects to support my beautiful healing community!

It is called Wishcasting Wednesdays. I have wanted to participate for some time, but just never got around to it. This is my first one.

So, this is basically how it works – (some of you reading this may already know, but just in case you don’t…)

You visit Jamie’s Wishcasting Wednesday page and check out the focus for the week

You write a short post about the topic of choice

You go back to Jamie’s blog and add your link to the Mr. Linky love list

You visit other blogs in the list and comment about the post and ask that their wish be granted…did I get that right, guys?

So, without further adieu, here is my wish for a Wednesday morning -I wish for people all over the world to wake up. I wish for them to stop, take a good look at their lives and see what it is that they are meant to do and just do it.

Simple.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love octopuses and was excited to catch wind of one particular octopus which is getting worldwide recognition for its psychic predictions of soccer matches. Paul (or Paolo), the psychic octopus, has predicted all six of Germany’s World Cup games successfully so far. Recently, he predicted that Spain will beat Holland in the World Cup finals. I guess we will see!

According to the latest article by the Sydney Morning Herald, octopuses don’t live very long so they suspect he may not be around to predict the next World’s Cup. (Video by Telegraph.co.uk) Still, it is nice to see that the world has room for a psychic octopus in the news. Just spreading some of that around.
