Yesterday, I had the incredible good fortune to speak on a panel at the Healthy Living Expo in Minneapolis. (A BIIGGG thank you to Valerie Lis for pulling this together and for that wonderful opportunity!) So, as a thank you to those people who I met yesterday, I would like to take a moment and tell you about these wonderful people! I would also like to thank Magic Brad for putting the expo together, although I did not get to visit with him yesterday. I think the best thing about my work with Cirkla is meeting amazing people. It just never ends! There are so so many people and I wish that there were three or four of me so that I could get to know all of them better because I am always just so amazed by the depth of the people that I meet in this profession. The first person that I saw yesterday when I arrived was Valerie Lis.
In the Twin Cities area, there are a LOT of people who know Valerie because she is one of those solid pillars in this community who is a catalyst behind just about everything. In this particular venture, Valerie is the one who coordinated all of the speakers for this expo and so I am sure that ALL of the speakers would join me in expressing gratitude for her work in this area. But, that is not all that Valerie is up to, of course! During the day, Valerie teaches classes at the Anoka Ramsey Community College in the Integrative Health and Healing Program. She also has a business called Courses for Life which helps clients to learn techniques in EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique and some courses in the SILVA Method as well. I have experienced one of her SILVA Method courses and it is really a treat! I also met some great people who shared the Healthy Mind Panel with me. I created a handout for the Healthy Mind Panel discussion called The Four Elements of a Healthy Mind so if you want to download that, feel free. You can share it with anyone you like. So there were four others that I shared the panel with besides Valerie. They was Susan Just, a coach and certified hypnotherapist who also teaches hypnotherapy with her Dynamic Minds business; Michele Berg, a somewhat soft-spoken powerhouse who started the Lodestone Networking Group; Deanna Reiter, who owns Reiter Fitness & Healing and has taken her yoga training practice into corporations and speaks nationally on topics surrounding her new book, Dancing with Divinity; and then finally, Phil Bolsta, who should be named Phil Bold because he has created quite a stir for himself by writing a book with interviews of some incredible people including Wayne Dyer, Doreen Virtue, Bernie Siegel, James Redfield, James Van Praagh and Deepak Chopra with a foreword by Caroline Myss. For a complete list of who he interviewed, click here. I met many more people during my wonderful adventure yesterday!
